ENCANTO FARMS NURSERY
Shipping Information

Shipping to many states requires us to provide a Phytosanitary or Snail Certificate. E-mail us with your address and I can have the Ag Inspector check the requirements for your state. These requirements change constantly.

Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Utah do not have any additional requirements.

Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia. In general, northern states are more lenient and southern states are more particular. This costs $7 per shipment. Hopefully, that is full disclosure.

Hawaii requires an import permit is required, along with a one year quarantine costing, at last check, $600, for plants shipped bareroot. Info at: 808-832-0566.

Arizona requires spraying with pesticide prior to shipment which is currently about $300 per shipment, which eliminates small shipments to Arizona, practically speaking.

States not listed above will need to have their requirements verified with our County Ag Department.

Canada requires is USDA Phytosanitary Certificate. The cost of inspection and USDA paperwork is $125 per shipment. See Canadian Food Inspection Agency 613-225-2342 x 4359 for information about shipping to Canada. A Pending Federal LBAM Quarantine (June 2013) make preclude shipments to Canada for more than a year.

For friends in other parts of the world, we feel your pain (for me, importing is a huge, huge pain as well), but the restrictions and requirements are prohibitive. We have not been able to successfully ship to the EU because of very strict disease and pest protocols. Almost all countries require the recipient to have an Import Permit.
